In my role as Back Office Lead, I serve as a point of contact for Medical Assistants on the clinic floor, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and workflow support. I have worked intentionally to establish strong relationships with the team and maintain an approachable, supportive presence that encourages collaboration and open dialogue. I partner with leadership to implement and maintain clinical protocols while identifying opportunities for operational improvement. I am responsible for creating and managing schedules across all clinic locations, conducting 90-day performance reviews, and performing chart audits to maintain accuracy, compliance, and consistency among staff.

Demonstrating adaptability and strong work ethic, I integrated myself into the dermatology team quickly. My role involved conducting thorough patient intakes, obtaining medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. I assisted in various dermatological procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and wound care, ensuring patient comfort and procedure efficacy. Additionally, I provided patient education and support for treatments such as phototherapy, biologic injections and educate patients on post-procedure care and skincare regimens. I also managed patient triage, coordinated prescription refills, and maintained accurate electronic medical records to enhance workflow and optimize patient care.

Leveraging my strong learning abilities, I seamlessly adapted into a career in ophthalmology and quickly became an essential team member. I trained new hires and coordinated the integration of new doctors into the practice. My responsibilities included multi-tasking to conduct patient work-ups prior to examinations, providing exceptional patient service, assisting with procedures including papilloma removal, lancing/draining chalazions, and performing a range of ophthalmic diagnostic testing such as manifest refractions, corneal topography (Zeiss Atlas), IOL Master, Visual Fields, and OCTs (Zeiss Cirrus). Additionally, I handle patient triage and contribute to the overall efficiency of the department.

In the ICU/Emergency department, I efficiently managed a high caseload with independence and excellence, delivering exceptional patient care under pressure. I consistently advocated for patient needs while ensuring accuracy in high-stress situations. My role involved conducting and monitoring during complex surgical and medical procedures, combining intellect and compassion to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

As a shift lead in the emergency department, I served as the primary contact for all technician questions and issues, addressing concerns from patients or doctors and facilitating resolution in a timely manner. My strong multitasking abilities enabled me to provide consistent high-quality communication across all levels of the hospital. I developed my teaching skills to better train our technicians, enhancing the quality of service provided to both clients and patients.

As an ICU nurse, I specialized in monitoring critical cases and managing complex infusions, providing advanced nursing care, and advocating for patients. My role also involved training staff, upholding high standards of care, and assisting with surgeries, radiology, and chemotherapy. Additionally, I was responsible for the administration and documentation of controlled substances.

Beginning as a technician assistant, I rapidly advanced to a shift lead role, taking on key responsibilities in emergency and critical care. I honed my skills in independently managing tasks and supporting team members in a fast-paced ER environment.

I began my career as a kennel technician and quickly progressed to a technician assistant role. During this time, I developed additional skills in animal restraint, venipuncture, phlebotomy, radiology, and surgical assistance.
