Accomplishments

The Air and Space Achievement Medal Department of the Air Force

I was chosen for the Headquarters Air Force Director of Security Forces Criminal Indexing Task Force Team. I found 1,195 records that needed to be reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 127 cases that needed to be resolved federally, and 89 records that needed to be removed from the federal database. Also contributed to the development of monthly briefings for the Under Secretary of the Air Force, as well as the approval of numerous technical investments to improve the tracking, review, and reporting of criminal history records.

While conducting vehicle search area operations, a Military Working Dog alerted on a suspected Improvised Explosive Device, and my quick actions resulted in the establishment of a cordon, the evacuation of 42 personnel, and the protection of $200 million in assets. In addition, I oversaw the restricted area badge program, which involved 315 badges that controlled access to 68 aircraft worth $17 billion.

  • Bloodborne Pathogens — 628th Security Forces Squadron- The Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches individuals how to protect themselves against infectious diseases that are transmitted through blood and bodily fluids. It discusses the definition and transmission of bloodborne diseases, conventional precautions, exposure management measures, and decontamination processes.
  • Green Belt Course — Certifications Department of the Air Force Continuous Improvement- Green Belt training is the basic credential for Six Sigma, a data-driven approach to process improvement. It teaches individuals how to identify and improve processes using methods such as the DMAIC cycle, statistical analysis, and problem solving strategies.
  • CPR/AED — Certifications- 628th Security Forces Squadron- CPR/AED courses teach critical life saving skills. They teach participants CPR for adults, children, and newborns, as well as how to operate an AED. In addition, these courses teach basic first aid and emergency response protocols.
  • Joint Medical Augmentee Program — Certifications Medical Flight Air Base 201- A critical initiative designed to improve the capabilities of military medical personnel by sharing their knowledge and skills through specialized training and experience in joint medical operations. JMAP offers training on how to handle a large number of casualties, including triage, treatment, and evacuation. I also learned how to treat combat-related injuries, such as gunshot wounds, blast injuries, and burns.
  • The Tactical Combat Casualty Care- Certifications- 628th Security Forces Squadron- The tactical combat casualty care medical program is a comprehensive training program designed by the United States Department of Defense to educate on evidence-based, life saving procedures and strategies for providing the best trauma treatment to combatants. This course teaches how to diagnose and treat various life threatening injuries, such as tension pneumothorax and airway blockage. Applying a tourniquet on a bleeding limb. Control bleeding in junctional wounds.
