I was initially hired to run a new machine, but this never came to fruition as the machine was never ready while I was employed. I wrote SOPs for the operations of the new machine, as well as SOPs for loading/unloading material, cleaning the machine, and other assorted procedures related to the machine's operation. I worked closely with R&D to learn about the process and help make the daily operation as user-friendly as possible.

As the machine was not available, I also assisted in sheet metal fabrication when possible.

Started on Packaging Line:

• Follow order list, gather correct items for each upcoming product (cans, sleeves, boxes)
• Set line according to can size, pack size
• stacking cases of product on pallets
• sleeving cans
• Loading cans into de-palletizer
• Checking seems on cans

Transferred to Cellar:

• Batched Seltzers according to recipes
• Assisted brewers in fruiting beer

• Operated multiple styles of pneumatic presses to create small, high volume parts
• Check parts for quality using gages, calipers
• Set up presses for operation
• Worked with tool and die makers on die repair when possible
• Picked orders for shipments

• Set up patterns and operated an automatic green sand molding table
• Set cores while inspecting molds and sand for defects
• Trained new hires
• Operated multiple types of core machines (sand with gas and heat catalysts) while filing and inspecting cores for production
• Operated pedestal and belt grinders, as well as various hand tools to clean pieces post-production
• Etched pressure marks and heat codes on required products
• Sorted parts while inspecting for sand holes, crushing, and other defects pre-machining
