Throughout Middle school and High school I have been around horses. I started lessons at a barn close to my families house, falling in love with English riding. I got close with my trainers and would help out around the barn with summer camp activities, training, stall cleaning, and turning out horses when needed. I then decided to get my own horses and lease a spot for them at that same barn. With this I took care of the needs of my horses with feeding, grooming, vets, and training. With my two horses they had opposite personalities, one needing more lunging than the other. Since moving to college I handed down my babies to my little sister. I now try and do trail rides whenever I can so I still have my time with my favorite animals. I made many friends that are Western riders and I have also fallen in love with that style of riding as well. Now that I am a teacher, I have summers off and I can't think of anything better for me to do than to be able to connect back with my love for these animals, whether that is being around them and caring for them or riding.
