Mechanical Engineering student in my third semester (GPA 2.8) with hands-on manufacturing and quality experience at Boston Scientific and nVent. Skilled in fast‑paced production environments, precision work, and technical problem‑solving. Known for discipline, reliability, and the ability to learn quickly while balancing part-time college and demanding work schedules. Bringing a strong foundation in engineering principles, cleanroom discipline, documentation accuracy, and mechanical aptitude. Actively developing toward Engineering Technician and mechanical roles with a long-term goal of becoming a Mechanical Engineer.
At nVent my daily task as a Quality Inspector is:
Performed dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other precision measurement tools to verify tolerances and product conformity.
• Interpreted engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to ensure accurate inspection of critical features and specifications.
• Conducted first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections on mechanical components, documenting results in quality databases and production logs.
• Identified nonconforming materials and initiated NCRs, collaborating with engineering and production to resolve root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Utilized statistical sampling methods and inspection plans to maintain consistent product quality across high‑volume production runs.
• Supported ISO 9001 and internal audit requirements by maintaining accurate inspection records, calibration logs, and traceability documentation.
• Assisted in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities by analyzing defect trends and recommending process improvements.
• Trained new inspectors and operators on measurement techniques, inspection procedures, and quality standards to improve team accuracy and consistency.
