To cover my 20 years of radio broadcasting and advertising executive experience.
I was a radio broadcasting personality for 20 years solid. I worked full-time. I worked every shift there was, from overnights, nights, midday, afternoon, to eventually becoming a morning personality. I was responsible for my on-air time slot, and its ratings. I was very successful in broadcasting. Achieving high, sellable ratings for advertisers. Was a sought-after talent for promotions, endorsements, and marketing campaigns. When I moved to Jacksonville in 1994, I worked at WROO, which, after one year, went from being worth $2 million to $14 million.
After 20 years on air, I decided to retire and go into advertising for one of our stations in 2007. My sales goal was set at $225K; in September of that year, my goal was raised to $255K. I missed the President's Club by $1,000.
My job was to secure advertisers, create campaigns that worked for clients, write, and produce commercials.
