I quilt with the Montgomery Counseling on Aging (MACOA) twice a month. We meet to cut fabric, batting, and backing to quilt at home. Most of us complete four lap quilts per month to be distributed at Christmas to local Nursing Homes and Charitable organizations. Also, I attend St. James Baptist Church. I coordinate the Christmas, Easter, and Black History Programs for the congregation. I teach Youth Sunday School and participate and plan the Vacation Bible School and assist with other church activities as needed. Additionally, I drive for Meals on Wheels another service of MACOA twice a month on Thursdays to deliver hot meals and pet supplies to aging members of the Montgomery community.
