Summer position: Provided nursing care as part of a team to campers with cancer diagnoses, and their siblings attending day camp.

• Monitored camper health and managed acute medical situations effectively. Administered medications and treatments per camp health guidelines.
• Fostered a safe and supportive environment for campers' well-being, including monitoring students during bus transportation to and from the campsite.

Provided health services to 70+ students in grades K-8, including first aid and administration of medication.

• Maintained accurate records of student health information. Ensured compliance with MD state immunization requirements.
• Implemented a discretionary medication policy for middle school students to improve school attendance.
• Provided blood borne pathogen, seizure and diabetes education yearly to all staff.

Provided general healthcare for 1000+ middle school students in a public school setting.

• Areas of responsibility include immunization compliance, hearing and vision screenings, medication management, chronic disease management, education of parents, students, and staff in areas of public health and chronic disease.
• Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for students with special health care needs (IEPs and 504 plans).
