Summary

I have been living in Houston since August 2019, prior to which I was living in the Middle East for 23 years.

I started my working life there with Emirates Airline, and then Sherwoods Property. In 2003 I had my daughter and was a stay at home mum for many years, however my last few years in the Middle East I was working on an ad hoc basis for Dragon Fire Dubai, a team building company, facilitating with their corporate team building days. I also worked for an events company, Hostex, on a temporary ad hoc basis, facilitating at exhibitions and conferences. I have also offered my time on a voluntary basis to schools in both Dubai and Bahrain, assisting in various roles from reading with the children and accompanying them on school trips to creating and painting the stage backdrops for several end of year drama performances. I am a self-motivated, driven individual, working well on my own or indeed as an integral part of a team. Having spent most of my working years directly involved in customer services, I fully understand and appreciate the value of effective communication skills. I have an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken and enjoy working with people of all ages, designations and backgrounds. I have spent most of my working life outside of the UK, operating with a vast range of different nationalities both customers and colleagues - these experiences have proven to be a valuable asset in my ability to communicate with individuals of all ages across the spectrum.

Interests

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS  Whilst in Dubai I was a keen member of Dragon Fire dragon boat racing team. This is an all ladies competitive team, who achieved fantastic results in both local tournaments and a bronze medal in the Club Crew World Championships in Hungary 2018.
