Assist families with applying for Long Term Care Medicaid and predetermine eligibility prior to admission
Obtain prior authorizations from Managed Care Companies and submit clinical reviews in timely manner to determine continued stay.
Check Medicare and/or secondary insurance benefits prior to admission for skilled Rehab stays.
Responsible for collecting payment owed to facility to include current or outstanding accounts.
Responsible for ordering office supplies for staff while maintaining budget.
As a nurse, I'm responsible for submitting paperwork to Office of Long Term Care for Medical Eligibility within 48 hours of admission.
Responsible for billing Medicaid weekly.
Responsible for bank transactions regarding facility patient trust account and management of patients funds.
Worked Covid Unit during outbreak requiring thorough assessment of patient, critical thinking skills, Multitasking, Start and monitor of IVs, maintaining consistent communication with MD and APRN and administration of routine medications in a timely manner via by mouth, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections, breathing treatments and wound care.
Delegate responsibilities to CNAs in regard to care of patients and monitor that these duties are being carried out efficiently.
Order medications from pharmacy as needed
Maintain communication with patient's family regarding any changes.
Perform foley catheter or ostomy changes as ordered and when needed via sterile technique.
Perform tube feeding as ordered.
Responsible for performing thorough documentation in patients charts at all times.
Obtain personal information from patient prior to physician assessment and document any changes in condition or medication in a timely manner as this is a fast paced clinic.

Administer medications to app. 25-30 patients via all routes to include by mouth, subcutaneous, intramuscular, IV, feeding tube, breathing treatments, and provided wound care.

Monitor patients for any medical changes, assess thoroughly and report findings to Physician and/or Nurse Practitioner.
