I have Masters in the Science of Nursing degree and have 18 years of health care experience. I have current active RN multistate compact license in Texas. In 2007 I started my career as a CNA in a cardiovascular/telemetry unit. After I graduated as an RN in 2010 and returning home from a medical mission, I worked for 2 years on a medical/surgical/peds inpatient unit and subsequently spent 6 years as Emergency Room nurse. After obtaining a graduate degree, I worked for 18 months as an Advanced practice nurse during Covid 19 in a public health setting and have worked as a mobile home health wound care NP, a Home Health RN case manager, before landing in my current role as clinic-based Healthcare Manager with Wellmed (Optum) for the past 2.5 years. Throughout my career, I have been nominated multiple times by patients for the Daisy Excellence in Nursing award.
