Additional Information

I began my career path in the fire service in 1982 as a firefighter with Sullivan West Fire Department; in my community of Sullivan Gardens and I still volunteer to this day forty-two years later.

"In 1988 I became a professional firefighter with W.S.I. Fire / Rescue Services at Holston Army Ammunition Plant and in the next fifteen years worked my way up the ranks to become a Captain, EMT and Training Officer. During my time there I was awarded three Department of the Army Challenge Coins from the Commanding Officer: Colonel Haughs for an "Excellent Rating" on our Fire Protection Operations Readiness Inspection (F.P.O.R.I.) and for teaching base personnel American Red Cross CPR and Basic First Aid Skills of which I'm very proud.

The Kingsport Fire Department offered me a job in December of 2003 as an Inspector & Fire Investigator, which I took and continue to work for them to this day.

In 2014 I became the KIngsport Fire Department Chaplain after our city was inundated by a bath salts epidemic, and was later certified through the Tennessee Federation of Fire Chaplains and the National Federation of Fire Chaplains. I am also an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Christ.

In conclusion, I've been married to my wife Mary Ellen for thirty-three years. Been blessed with two children Megan and Drew. I have a grandson Cannon and life currently for me is very good. I'm truly looking forward to the future and what it has to offer!"
