Bastian Golladay

Under supervision of the Fire Captain, operates fire apparatus and fire fighting equipment in the suppression of structural, wildland and other types of fires; maintains and makes minor repairs on fire vehicles, equipment and facilities; may be assigned temporary command of a fire station; provides emergency medical and rescue services to the community; performs other duties as required.

Under supervision of the Fire Captain, performs a full range of all-risk emergency activities, including, but not limited to: fire suppression, emergency medical services, extrication, technical rescue, and hazardous materials. Firefighters will engage in the suppression of structural, wildland, and other types of fires; performs scheduled maintenance of fire stations, fire apparatus and related equipment; provides emergency medical and rescue services to the community; participates in fire safety inspections; maintains various records and completes various reports; may be required to drive emergency fire and EMS apparatus; performs other duties as required.

Provides emergency medical care and patient transportation in the prehospital setting in accordance with established EMS protocols and under the direction of Base Hospital Medical Control. Assesses patient conditions, delivers appropriate emergency interventions, and collaborates with other emergency responders and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. Maintains clinical competency, exercises sound judgment in high-pressure situations, and communicates effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.

Performs wildland firefighting and fire prevention duties as part of a fire crew with CAL FIRE's Tehama-Glenn Unit. Responds to wildfires and other emergencies, assists with fire suppression activities, and helps protect lives, property, and natural resources. Works as part of a coordinated crew to construct fire lines, operate firefighting equipment, maintain tools, and support emergency response operations in physically demanding and potentially hazardous environments.
