BAVNEET RANDHAWA

ROSEVILLE,CA

Summary

Creative B.S. graduate of human development from the University of California, Davis. Currently pursuing my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Saybrook University. I really enjoyed the focus on the therapeutic relationship and how effective it is alone. I find myself pulling techniques or somatic practices from multiple theories to help a client with their unique needs. Most importantly we must lay the foundations of therapeutic relationship, creating a safe space, and being a reliable steady force by our client’s side through this journey for theoretical techniques to be effective. What draws me towards Person-centered theory is the focus of unconditional positive regard and the focus on creating a relationship where our clients really own the safe space we share. The focus is to create an environment that supports trust and openness through authentic demonstrations of care, empathy and unconditional positive regard with the hope being that this invites clients to be vulnerable in order to experience their full selves and heal in ways they may not have acknowledged in a safe, non-judgmental space that can facilitate change.
