
As the High School PLC leader it is my job to coordinate an efficient and expeditious operation of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) by accepting the responsibility for maintaining positive leadership among the PLC members, providing a well-organized plan for each new school year, maintaining consistent communication with the leadership team, and assist and the PLC members in duties and activities throughout the school year.
Assists the leadership team with:
Presiding over the required weekly PLC meeting and submit meeting agendas at least two (2) days prior to meeting and minutes within five (5) days to the building principal through Schoology.
Providing the PLC direction and leadership with assigned activities and responsibilities.
Interpreting data for the PLC and analyzing student data.
Assisting with the SBAC, DeSSA, MAP, PSAT, SAT and/or other assessments, which include scheduling and student placement and assignment.
Determining student progress by working with the Response to Intervention (RTI) Coordinator and the PLC members and leadership team.
Conducting weekly Peer/Learning Walkthroughs.
Coordinating PLC curricular revision, vertical curriculum alignment, and horizontal curriculum alignment
Participating in professional development as mutually agreed by the district and the principal.
Serving as a communication liaison between PLC and administration.
Monitor Home Access Center updates monthly.
Monitor Culminating Performance Task (CPT); completions and entry into eSchool quarterly.
Monitor Atlas/Lesson Plan upload for Department monthly.
Assisting the district in preparing the PLC budget and managing the following:
Supplies, textbooks, equipment and supplementary materials
Annual inventory of PLC supplies, etc.
Assists the PLC's with:
Providing suggestions for the development of the PLC schedule and any alternative schedules that may be needed
Coordinating class advisor duties/responsibilities under the leadership of the building administration
Assisting with/ presenting at the annual academic awards ceremony.
Providing support for new teachers via orienting those within the PLC with school/district processes and procedures
Assisting with planning/implementation of student incentives for state testing
