Responsibilities:

• Trains and assists medical students, interns, research personnel and new staff
• Performed chemistry analysis, serology test, blood bank pre-screening test, and urinalysis for multiple patients daily.
• Uses LIS system like Cerner Millennium and Best Care to order tests, check patients records and document results.
• Follows NGHA policies and protocols in keeping all the records or any form of document
• Performs CAP and other proficiency tests
• Performs duties as guided by principles and standard of Joint Commission on International Accreditation (JCIA) and National Guard Laboratory as well as other regulating bodies College of American Pathologist (CAP), Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Nuclear Registration Commission (NRC), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
• Performs other job related duties as required.

• Architect i2000SR, Architect ci8200, Liason XL, Arkray AU-4050, Osmometer Model 3320, Clinitek Advantus & Tosoh G8 HBA1C Analyzer.

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine complete blood test, coagulation tests and special hematological investigations like FDP and LAP index.
• Assessed blood samples for transfusions by determining cell morphology, number of cells, blood type and other relevant information.
• Performs Phlebotomy in different areas like outpatient, wards, operating room, intensive care units, emergency room and other special areas as part of post.
• Performs duties following JCIA standard.
• Part of Brain Attack/Stroke Team
• Trains interns and new staff.
• Rotates in ER-Satellite Lab where I perform perform routine Hematology, Chemistry and Clinical Microscopy tests.
