- Expirience in begonias, geranium, petunias, poinsettias and springs stuff,
- Prepare Line for planting; knowing the needs/specifications for various plants in pots and containers; potted plants in various containers and combinations.
- Technique(s) used for plant propagation in the greenhouse.
- Pinching and trimming potted plants according to specifications; pruning during appropriate time of year according to specifications;
- Experience watering plants by hand as needed, ensuring that plants are receiving the appropriate level of moisture according to specifications
- Space plants according to specifications to optimize growth. Hang baskets at the appropriate time in the prescribed manner for irrigation
- .Determine the best quality of plants for order selection based on an order list.
- Verify that the correct plant tags are placed in the variety of plant being picked and that tags are appropriate for the account for which the order is being chosen.
- Verify that the appropriate plant in the ordered quantity are being pulled for the order.
- Create shipping carts according to pre-determined layout of how plants are to be placed on carts.
- Packing procedures for various types of rooted cuttings and potted plants for various methods of transportation.
- Prepare and consolidate growing areas including cleaning and sanitizing growing areas for the next crop season.
- Change irrigation system if required for the unique needs of the next crop.;
- Dispose of unsalable plants as trash or compost as appropriate.
