Safety Ambassador

Being a Safety Ambassador is being a mentor based on how to work and perform daily tasks safely. Not only for just myself, but for my environment and fellow coworkers around me. It means stepping up and providing key information on how to properly operate and know your surroundings so we can make sure you get home in one piece. I have been privileged to be able to sit in on many trainings to better understand the costs and benefits of providing safer ways to conduct everyday work, including machine guarding, forklift operation, our 7 elements, and etc. I have been put in charge to find new and safer ways of going about tasks that may cause injury or even death. Coming up with new protocols of how to work different stations around the facility like our JSA's. I go around and conduct audits everyday on Ease to make sure we comply and are meeting our daily standards so we can meet our annual standards. I need to make sure that we are going about these things in a strategic and routinely fashion so everyone is operating and performing at 100% effort to make all of our jobs safe and easy to understand. I really want to find more time to step away from my machine and design new habits and tasks to better go about the way we do things as a team.
