As a Contact Tracer 3, I conducted complex assessments of COVID positive clients and their close contacts, in the State of Alaska. Assessments were completed with extensive phone investigations and data input into the CommCare driven electronic health record. I investigated, analyzed and identified pandemic clusters within the public sector. I created and supported unique COVID mitigation plans for Alaska businesses and schools. I became the Team Lead of the contact tracing efforts and began presenting morning briefings to the contact tracers, educating them on current pandemic clusters, suspected pandemic clusters and any CDC Covid isolation guidelines. I trained and onboarded new contact tracers joining the team. I allocated workloads throughout the Covid team and answered questions from both contact tracers as well as Covid positive clients. I created and presented daily reports to the Public Health Nursing team that was overseeing the contact tracing efforts. I also worked with the Immunization Department on grant acquisitions for rural Public Health Centers by helping to organization solicitation of immunization storage equipment for their facilities. I learned how to use the DOS operated EHR system operated by the State of Alaska. I coded Public Hea-9lth Center patient encounters with ICD-9 codes which were used for mainly statistical purposes. The ICD-9 codes were outdated when I began these duties so I updated the Public Health Coding Guidelines to the most current ICD-10 codes. I worked with the informatics team on updating the Public Health Nursing documentation guidelines to streamline the documentation and coding process. I did some intermittent work on the Public Health Nursing SharePoint site, updating shared documents and transferring files to the most current SharePoint platform. I used Excel spreadsheets, word document, email and Teams on a daily basis.

Accounts Payable Manager
Native Village of Eyak
10.2002 - 08.2005
As the Accounts Payable Manager, I was responsible for daily documentation, cost allocations, payment process and reconciliations of a Tribal Government grant based organization. I analyzed each vendor account for discrepancies and investigated any missed payments or postings, to bring the vendor files up to date and allow an accurate and detailed reconciliation of all accounts. I identified policies and procedures that were hindering accurate reporting of expenditures, and rewrote those policies to streamline an accurate and comprehendible accounts payable process. This process would include learning individual department grant awards, their allowable expenditures and limits and applying them to the fund allocation process. I assisted the grant managers with learning the cost allocation requirements as outlined in the grant awards. I met with the Tribal Government leaders and Executive Director often to keep them up to date on process changes I was making. As a part of that process, I took over the Organization's credit card program, which allowed all employees to have a credit card upon hire. I spent a lot of time with the credit card issuing bank to write new, clear and concise policies and procedures for the credit card program. I was in charge of issuing credit cards to new employees, educating them on allowable uses for the card and discontinuing cards for employees when needed. I completed monthly reconciliation of company credit cards and completed cost allocations to different grants, as determined by investigating each purchase on the card. I assisted grant managers with grant reporting as well as documentation procedures needed to accurately report. I participated in yearly financial audits, by pulling designated vendor files to check completeness, accuracy and availability of the files as determined by audit procedures of an outside source. I filled in for the Accounts Receivable employee and also some Payroll when needed. I covered the Office Manager position when the Tribal Government opened its first Tribal Health Clinic. I was responsible for patient scheduling, supervising 3 administrative clinic personnel, some Procedural Coding and insurance billing and patient account reconciliation. I reviewed patient encounters in their health record documentation for assigning ICD-9 codes to allow the Clinic to receive payment from private health insurance as well as Medicaid and Medicare. I also dealt with any nonpayment from Insurance by researching documentation to support the charges the Clinic was billing for and resubmitting declined payments for reconsideration by said Insurance Companies. I assisted with the research and development of current Tribal Enrollment registers. I used Excel, Word and Microsoft hardware on a daily basis in all of the duties mentioned above.
