Supervisor, 2009, 2011, Preventive Medicine Unit, Fort Hood, TX, In charge of a Preventive Medicine Unit consisting of 5 individuals., Successfully completed Combat Life Saver Course intended to provide basic life support before qualified emergency medical personnel's arrival, focus on time-sensitive battlefield trauma, and ensure the fastest response time to a wounded soldier. It has been scientifically proven to reduce the likelihood of a soldier's death while waiting for a medic. It provides basic first aid, CPR, application of a tourniquet, and administration of an intravenous line during combat situations.
