Skilled multitasker with superior work ethic and good teamwork, problem-solving and organizational skills. Willing to take on any task to help team. Reliable and dedicated team player with hardworking and resourceful approach.
I would be a great fit for captain as I possess many skills as a leader to create a positive and constructive environment. I have a diverse background with leadership skills ranging from Northside Hospital and keeping a safe, smooth surgical office to volunteering and dedicating many hours to better my community. I have the ability to not only communicate with a co-worker/captain but listening to other members of the team to hear everyone's ideas to construct new opportunities. I have the ability to get along and agree with anyone who I encounter and am able to not portray an unlikeable leader with poor leadership skills, rather I would do the opposite to have a cheer team with happy cheerleaders filled with enjoyment.
With the 2022-23 season approaching, I have specific goals that I would love to propose with the title of captain. Establishing a healthy relationship between all cheerleaders through bonding can create a hard-working team ready to work together and be the best group of sideline cheerleaders. Coming up with a new cheer every few weeks is a great way to improve bonding skills, while creating unique cheers for our CYFA and EJC Cheerleaders in our community. This can be done during/after practice in hopes to create new and modern cheers. Additionally, keeping a fun and organized experience is important for all cheerleaders and coaches to enjoy cheering, but also being able to differentiate between the two. Lastly, a very important goal is making sure each and every cheerleader, regardless of age, has a say/opinion in new ideas for the cheer team to create a sisterhood full of opportunities.
- Identifying a well-rounded cheerleader each week and rewarding them with a shout out from coaches or being able to join the captains in decision making like the hairstyle for a friday night game would exponentially increase the effort given by cheerleaders to be recognized for their actions.
- A fun idea to improve our cheer team would be to have a bonding idea with our stunt group to gain comfort and trust between all members in the group. This could be where each stunt group works together to out smart and beat the other groups. Not only would all cheerleaders have a good time, stunt groups would be more comfortable to experiment with new skills and create a healthy environment.
- Before each game, coming together as a team in a huddle to create an fun environment of what our goals are for the game and to hype up all cheerleaders to cheer on the football team and get the crowd excited. With minimal cheerleader excitement, crowd involvement decreases leaving the players lacking support. Almost like a domino effect! So having a fun and exciting huddle before, to talk and get pumped up would increase the involvement of Eagle Spirit.
