This is my current place of work on a 1000+ head beef finishing farm, owned by Morrisons. My role here consists of various differnet jobs including helping out the stockman with processing new cattle that arrive as well as sorting fat out to send to the abattoir; we can sort and send anywhere from 20-60 beasts a week depending on current circumstances. In addition to this, we grow most of our crops ourselves such as wheat, barley, beans, rye, maize and grass. During harvest my role is mostly consists of grain cart driving, loading and carting straw.
Worked on a 58 point rotary milking parlour milking 350+ cows twice a day. I learnt to drive and operate tractors and tele-handler at this job.
I was taken on as an apprentice in general building in October of 2017. I did an array of jobs such as; roofing, plaster boarding/plastering, brick laying, concreting, joinery and pipe work.
