I have been working as a self employed contractor utilizing primarily my Solidworks skills, 3d scanning, 3d printing, welding/fabrication and machining. From amusement park rides, to automation to machines and equipment. Through this experience I have been able to witness and experience many different styles of document control and manufacturing practices through a wide range of clients and industries.

Design and build of Automated systems and fixtures utilizing solidworks and effective GDT. Sourcing of components, assembly and testing of prototypes. Document Control. Maintain schedule of deliverables.

Reverse engineered existing 2d laser patterns into solidworks and revised files to improve fitup and welding/assembly of machines and components. Also implemented tabs/keys and slots that are much easier to visualize and place precisely in a 3d model space, these simplify assembly and welding immensely. Went on the manufacturing floor and addressed issues welders were having with fitup and streamlined process. Created fixtures, guides and patterns to improve cycle time of components and increase precision and consistency of products.

Design custom fuel tanks and cabinets/boxes with Solidworks. Program Amada CNC turret punch with Fabriwin software. Document Forming instructions for CNC press brake. Streamline welding process by implementing flanges and improved fitment of sheet metal components.

Drafting and print production with effective GDT and Bill of Material with Solidworks. ERP. Design and build R&D testing equipment. Draft documents to support products. Perform ECO and Revisions with proper documentation.
