  • Conducted routine inspections and maintenance on helicopter components to ensure operational safety. (Inspections included checking: hydraulic system, gearboxes, drive shafts, both engines, main transmission, flight controls, fuel system, front and back struts, auxiliary power unit, the main rotor system, and the tail rotor system.)
  • Hand selected a team of highly skilled mechanics to prepare 10 UH-60M for deployment to Europe for Operation Atlantic Resolve. All 10 aircraft made it to the designated pick up site on time and mission ready.
  • Collaborated closely with company leadership to streamline and organize aircraft maintenance and inspections. Leading to aircraft being readily available for medevac missions.
  • Lead 10 subordinate UH-60M mechanics through over 1,000 maintenance hours with zero accidents or issues.
  • Bagged and Tagged all parts and hardware that came off aircraft during maintenance and inspections. This guaranteed 100% accuracy and organization throughout every task.

  • Recruited from Delta Company (heavy maintenance) by Alpha Companies First Sergeant and Sergeant First Class to assist with running the company maintenance program and training new soldiers. This resulted in the company raising its overall readiness rate from 83% to over 90%, making us the most mission ready company in the entire battalion.
  • Preformed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, also preventive maintenance and inspections on a daily basis. Some tasks included: servicing engines, replacing engines, servicing hydraulic and nitrogen filled struts, replacing struts, servicing nitrogen filled rotor blades, inspecting fuel system for leaks and damaged components, and inspecting hydraulic system for leaks and damaged components.
  • Lead a group of ten subordinate UH-60 maintainers through 2,000 flawless maintenance hours.
  • Meticulously read and followed technical documentation to complete accurate repairs.

UH-60 A/L/M Mechanic

  • Completed two UH-60 PMI-1's ( 480 Hour Phase Maintenance Inspection). I was assistant Phase Team Leader on the second PMI-1.

  • Phase Maintenance and Inspection work included inspecting or replacing: Structural components, Flight control systems, Landing gear (front and rear struts, front and rear axles, wheel bearings, breaking system, wheels, tires), Engines and engine systems, Hydraulic systems (struts, pumps, cylinders, couplings, hoses), Electrical systems, Fuel systems, Cockpit flight instrument and navigational equipment, and Cabin systems (lighting, heating, air conditioning).
  • Ensured compliance with FAA regulations through strict adherence to guidelines and proper documentation of all maintenance activities.
  • Mentored and trained junior mechanics in proper tool usage and workplace safety practices, resulting thousands of accident free maintenance hours. Some tools utilized were: Over head cranes, aircraft jacks, maintenance stands and platforms, air ventilation systems, hydraulic servicing kits, Nitrogen carts, Fuel integrity test kit, Engine lift kits, Engine stands, digital and manual torque wrenches, digital and manual micrometers, digital protractors, and tire cages.
