Facility Manager, Detail Manger, New Car photot

Koons Westminster Toyota/scion
Westminster, MD
04.2018 - 04.2021
  • Facilities Manager - my responsibility was to repair or schedule the appropriate repairman to repair anything that might be broke in any of the 3 buildings, once a week I would make a general inspections, check all the rooms and ask staff of anything immediate that they had noticed
  • Once a month I would make a deeper inspection and check over everything such as go up on the roof and make sure there wasn't anything busted on top and check the gutters
  • Once a season I would make sure everything was ready for the next for example make sure the snow blowers were dropped off to the repair shop to make sure they were in tip top shape to handle the snow, check if we needed salt and make sure we had plenty of snow brooms and shoves to clear off the inventory with the rest of my staff preferable before the dealership would open if possible.
  • Prep department manager - my responsibility for this role was run the Prep department which cleaned all new and used cars that were sold each month this also meant maintaining a staff of 12+ employees to get it all done
  • Hiring, Scheduling and terminating employees in this department all fell on me in this depart along with helping each department in the dealership get their vehicles in a timely manor.
  • Safety Inspector - in this role while making my regular facilities inspections I would also have to make sure everything was insurance compliant and all staff members were making sure they stayed compliant as well
  • For example, checking the lift inspections in the shop, making sure all the fire extinguishers had been checked, no unapproved heaters or fans were being used and safety glasses were in use while in the shop.
  • New Car Photographer - this role my job was to take photos of vehicles for the new car department and post them so they could advertise them online, often times this meant pulling the inventory list every morning figuring out which vehicles still need photos locate the cars get them clean and then take roughly 20-27 photos of each vehicles showing off the features of the vehicles and then using programs to clean up the photos, adjust the lighting for example
  • I typically took about 20 vehicles worth of photos each day.
  • Wholesale / Inventory - its worth noting that often times I would stand in for both of these managers while they were on vacation of if they became overwhelmed and they needed assistance.

Inventory Manager / Wholesale manager

Vehicles for Change
Baltimore, MD
03.2016 - 04.2018
  • Inventory Manager - Process and organize all donated vehicles this could be anywhere from 4-26 in a day
  • I would have to check in all vehicles that had been donated and what would it cost to get it to pass MSI and possible body work cost to give to a family
  • Should it not be cost effective to give to a family then I would have to wholesale it
  • I also managed all the online retail cars.
  • Wholesale manager - The vehicles that were cost effective to repair I would have to decide which auction they would bring the best price for
  • This was important since ultimately what the vehicle sold for is what someone would receive for their donation for the taxes.
