Led a team of Land Representatives to evaluate and execute value maximizing asset transactions, including trades, new JVs, farmouts, leasing, and acquisitions/divestitures for Permian and East Texas.
Responsible for providing guidance to the NOJV Land Team on transaction opportunities on existing JOAs to provide market comps and feedback, ensuring we deliver the highest value alternative to the enterprise as well as providing guidance to cross-functional teams. Manage divestments in conjunction with Corporate Business Development including resourcing, leading, pre and post-close data prep/obligations, and integration into our Land systems. Served as the C&N Manager/Land SME on ~15 large divestments within MCBU's portfolio resulting in a value realization of ~$5B since 2022
Manage execution of 25 in 25 through Portfolio Development to add 25,000 BOED to MCBU's portfolio as part of Mission a Million in 2025. Oversaw negotiation and execution of transactions resulting in an incremental NPV of over $2.5B from 2023 through 2025.
Managed the prioritization of NOJV opportunities in conjunction with the cross-functional NOJV Leadership Team. Actively involved in BPlan prep/submission, capital forecasting, and capital outlook. Responsible for helping manage a $1.585B NOJV Capital budget comprised of over 500,000 acres and 400/500 new well proposals per year. Managed all NOJV wellbore transactions within MCBU's portfolio to effectively prioritize the NOJV capital budget. Oversaw the execution of multiple NOJV AFE Wellbore transactions resulting in a net capital reduction of ~$100MM and an incremental NPV of ~50MM in 2024/2025.
Managed MCBU Non-Operated Land Team in addition to current responsbilities. Responsible for managing incoming ballots for existing contracts as well as stakeholder relationships related to such. Including but not limited to new well proposals within existing JOAs, workovers, abandonments, etc. Manage all existing NOJV contracts including consents to assignments and preferential rights to purchase. Build relationships with NOJV counterparts, proactively growing NOJV business. Coordinated with Transaction Team on force pool wells, trade evaluation, AFE economics for participation and reconcile with Transaction Team
economics, execution of new JOA and/or wellbore sell option if no trade, and potential for expansion of JOA size and alternative arrangements. Manage mineral and royalty position and Chevron Advantage within MCBU’s portfolio
Managed a team of Land Reps and contractors responsible for handling in-flight divest fields from Base Operations, pre and post close. Included but not limited to managing base ops land work while in transition, litigation, and HSE matters.
Managed pre-deal prep (data dumps, spatial, etc.) and post-close obligations (pref rights, CTAs, etc.)
Negotiated small to medium transactions (~<$150MM FMV) by leading and/or serving on negotiations team, serving as functional SME on transactions, leading PSA negotiations
