Before joining UNESCO. Worked for the Afghan government (GMIC), UNDP, and USAID. Supervised the creation of multimedia products on gender equality, including digital components, for the UNDP. Facilitated the development of connections with other UN agencies in the country. Organizes major regional seminars for the Government Media and Information Centre (GMIC).
Collaborated with Culture unit employees, relevant government agencies, authorities, and other partners to select advocacy materials and appropriately disseminate them through the UNESCO Afghanistan website and other channels. Advised on innovation and the effective use of mass communication techniques, including but not limited to press briefings, conferences, exhibits, and media interviews.
Developed and implemented communication training programs for government spokespersons, ministry spokespersons, and provincial spokespersons.
