Benjamin Anderson Mickan

• Coordinate the off-loading of flammable liquids from Rail, Tanker Trucks, and Drums into holding tanks that feed the plant kiln to power the cement plant. Fix hydraulic pumps, pipelines, valves, and fittings. Sample air quality for safe welding and a non-explosive environment and test flammable liquids for safe shipment to the kiln. Operate forklift and skid steer to transport products within the plant. Trained on hazardous clean-up, respirator safety, confined space, lockout tagout, and SCBA. I have trained over eight people to be fuel techs from multiple shifts. Have trained and led other Techs on shift to meet production standards in a timely manner.

• Operate Heavy equipment (D7/D5) Bulldozers, 10 Yard Loader, Grader, Forklift, Excavator, Backhoe, Bobcat, Dump Truck, Semi Truck, LETS). While deployed overseas, built basecamps roads, installed culverts, security missio and prepped bridge projects and security berms. Conduct Preventive Maintenance on all equipment before, during, and after all projects. Civilian Class A CDL and Military CDL. Trained to load, secure, and haul all heavy equipment. I supervise twelve Soldiers in all aspects of engineering heavy equipment operations.

• Certified military electrician, trained to troubleshoot electrical systems, review electrical plans before installation, review building electrical code, and assure electrical safety standards and precautions. I maintain and update electrical systems and run tests on electrical systems, wires, boxes, and circuits. I supervise eight Soldiers in all aspects of electrical installation, demolition, and circuit testing.

Afghanistan

• Operated and Dispatched Loaders, Graders, Skid steers, Sky Tracks, 10-20 ton Dump trucks, 916 Tractor Trailers, Mat V, Max Pro, Water Trucks, Troop Transports, Crain, Forklifts, D5-D7 Dozers. Conducted maintenance on all equipment during deployment and before deployment due to limited maintenance technicians. I worked on all levels of equipment maintenance.

Texas

• Operated and oversaw three sites with three-man teams for border missions and coordinated with border patrol to accomplish daily missions. Throughout border mission was in charge of 5 Soldiers making sure they were mission ready and capable of getting daily tasks accomplished.

Panama

• Oversaw 4 jobsites as foreman to help relations with the Panama military.
• Led operations and oversaw 15 Soldiers throughout 2 week mission.

• Conducted preventative maintenance on all production and extraction equipment (liquid pumps, air control valves, compressed air tanks, production feed lines, and all automation systems supporting production). Coordinated staged rail cars transfer products to fermentation holding tanks. Operated computer systems controlling tank levels, product transfers, and product extraction. I trained over 15 people in extraction, CMS, production, and fermentation operations and supervised four workers as a team leader in production.

• Operate Loaders & Dump Trucks 60 & 70 ton, Dozers, and Bobcats. Conducted quarry maintenance on conveyors and mining equipment. Along with preventive maintenance on conveyor belts, loaders, bobcats, dump trucks, and sump pumps.

• Fabrication department - built electrical cabinets, consisting of grinding, sanding, welding, and painting shops. My painting experience included sanding, rust removal, prep work, primer, and electrical cabinets with a 3-stage painting system. Maintenance dept consisted of assembling cabinets, electrical components, and light fixtures.
