Benjamin Chasse

I belong to a team of technician's who are responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining an industrial plant and it equipment which produces internal components for electrical distribution. The factory consists of a tool room, production varying from CNC's, metal stamping presses, weld n' Braze department, and full Electro plating facility. I have personal experience ranging from basic to extensive repairs on the following systems:

-mechanical

-pneumatic

-electrical

-industrial machine safeguarding

-Electronics

-PLC programming

As I became on of the senior technicians my role has become one more of training others in building, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of these systems. In my current role I often oversee and work with outside contractors to complete work in and outside of the walls of the factory.

• Utilized drawings, blueprints and schematics of building and systems layout as well as machinery construction.
• Mentored junior maintenance professionals to provide instruction on correct repair procedures.
• Diagnosed equipment malfunctions and completed repairs to restore equipment and maintain uptime.

I was a maintenance technician who preformed some but not limited to the following tasks:

• Diagnosed problems with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment using advanced troubleshooting abilities.
• Diagnosed and repaired mechanical machinery issues.
• Operated hand and power tools to complete repairs.
• Cleaned and lubricated machinery shafts, bearings and gears.
• Evaluated systems in use to uncover problems, complete maintenance and recommend solutions.
• Routinely inspected equipment for preventive and emergency maintenance needs.
• Installed new systems, replacement parts and components to maintain proper operation.
• Performed general maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent malfunctions.
• Inspected electrical components to identify defects and hazards and to make necessary adjustments.

I was fortunate to be surrounded by a team of engineers and technicians which had hundreds of hours made up of multiple fields of experience to learn from. This along side my schooling afforded a perfect opportunity to refine my ability to troubleshoot systems.
