Specialty care unit RN with experience providing care in a combined PCU and ICU. Experienced in managing high acuity patients caring for up to four PCU patients and 2-3 critically ill ICU patients requiring mechanical ventilation, sedation, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Proficient in titrating anti-arrhythmic, sedative, and vasoactive medications while recognizing subtle changes in patient condition through comprehensive assessment and interpretation of laboratory values including ABGs CMPs and CBCs. Experienced in caring for patients with severe sepsis, postoperative complications, multi organ dysfunction and failure, DKA, substance intoxication and withdrawal and those requiring RRT. Recognized early in my career for strong clinical judgment and leadership, frequently serving as charge nurse. In this role, I coordinate unit operations while managing my own patient assignment and responding to code blue, code stroke, and rapid response activations throughout the hospital. These responsibilities have strengthened my critical thinking, delegation, and ability to lead interdisciplinary teams during high acuity emergencies. Additional clinical skills include ultrasound guided peripheral IV placement, providing reliable access during night shifts when central line placement is not available.
