Utilized in both my experiences with retail and food service, the ability to interact with customers and assist them with their needs is something I'm confident in handling, and require little training on. Food preparation and safety is another field which I've spent much time on, as I understand the value customers have for both the quality and speed of the products of which they spend their money. Additionally, organizing returns, purchases, and online orders is something I feel comfortable with, and answering customers questions or concerns during this work is no challenge for me.
My job at Big E's Burgers was to take orders and prepare the fried food portions of those orders, along with milkshakes and other items. Apart from taking and making orders, as a cashier it was my responsibility to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant, whether that be the lobby where customers sat, the line, or even the bathrooms. Most of my shifts were closing so cleaning the entire restaurant at the end of the night, along with prepping necessities for the following day were often something I would take care of as well. As a fryer, making sure food was made with both speed and quality was of great importance, and food preparation during the day, (cutting tomatoes, making batches of coleslaw, etc.) was often my responsibility while the burger cook took care of orders during slower hours. Cleaning during closing shifts was also part of the job, as well as making sure sure the line was both cleaned and restocked like clockwork.
My Job at Five Guys entailed taking and making orders with a team of flexible employees. Cleaning was also a major aspect, as the Five Guys Company had strict instructions as to how the restaurant should be run. Restocking along with food preparation was heavily important, and overall ensuring all customers had a good experience while present was a top priority.
My job at Nordstrom within the customer service department was to handle returns, transactions, and any complaints or questions customers had. Most of the day was spent interacting with customers, and during downtimes I would process returns and bring them to their respective departments, (shoes, makeup, etc.). I would also process online orders, organize said orders, and ensure customers coming in to pick them up would get them on time and in a convenient manner.
Apart from working, I enjoy playing drums and occasionally giving private lessons to those interested in entering the world of music. I like to balance my hobbies and work with my schoolwork, as I am currently enrolled in college.
