I worked and watched over 7-11 year old boys in my own group, and sometimes watched over other counselor's kids when the counselor were at their scheduled activity and the campers where playing slap dodge-ball because of their discomfort with the activity or they just didn't want to do the activity. It was also a church camp so I would teach the kids about the scheduled lesson for the summer before we did anything else.
I was working as a counselor's assistant in my senior year of high school, and I would run passes to students that the counselors or social workers needed to see, and sometimes I would help the counselors move things and go get things that the counselor's need if they're at a different location than their office.
In the All Region Jazz auditions, there were 39 trumpets who auditioned and only ten 10 would make it, and I got 10th chair, so I was last chair in the 2nd jazz band for my region, and I had one improvised and one written solo at our concert. For the All Region Concert auditions, there were 73 trumpets who auditioned, and only about 30 trumpets made either band. I was the 2nd chair in the 2nd band, but got 11th chair overall out of 73 trumpets who auditioned. I played the 1st trumpet part with 2 other people at our concert. For Solo and Ensemble, I was in an ensemble with 2 other trumpets and we had to play an ensemble good enough to receive a division 1 rating, which is the highest, and we accomplished that goal. However, we performed a class 2 solo, so we were unable to compete for state solo and ensemble.
