Summary

With over eight years experience in industrial automation, has grown a deeper fascination and enjoyment with working with computers. With a physics background, learned down to the transistor level of their understanding. With experience in engineering, has developed a logic level understanding, and hobbies of programming, has developed a strong understanding for the higher level aspects of computers. Looking to switch careers more in line with my interests.

  • I designed a PCB that safely sends signals from a 3.3v output source (Raspberry Pi) to a 24v input source (industrial device) using opto-couplers and can also send signals back from the 24v source, down to a 3.3v input using resistors to step down the voltage as well as split the current to protect the circuit
  • I built the clock, registers and ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) for an 8-bit CPU as a part of the "Build an 8-bit CPU from scratch" found at eater.net
