Working with 90% reclaimed wood to build numerous projects from furniture to outside games etc. My knowledge of the wood I use is critical in making the best possible product.
Although there is currently not a plant wide quality control position. I fill I could be an asset at such position. Instead of each department having their own idea of quality. There would be a plant wide general consensus. This could result in fewer rejected barrels going to inspection. Fewer barrels barrels needing minor repair. The end result, I fill would be better numbers going to shipping.
With a constant training and working with the various inspection stations, we could all get on the same page to improve quality overall.
