Accomplishments

  • FTT Learning and Media Lab Fellow [December 2023] · Participant in From The Top's unique Learning and Media Lab Fellowship program, in which students are "resourced with unique opportunities to explore ways to make an impact through music now and in the future, as well as to celebrate music and voices on a major national platform. Additionally, those in the program are able to work collaboratively with fellow colleagues in working together to plan and implement a community engagement activity, joining a network of more than 3,000 alumni including students, professional musicians, educators, and arts administrators. In Cohort 5 of this program, an emphasis is placed on "music and art's connection with the environment. Topics range from climate change advocacy, nature and music's connections, to how my experiences in your environment affect my music-making, and more."
  • Interpretations of Music: Lessons for Life [September 2023] · Invited to perform at the Boston Philharmonic’s “Interpretations of Music: Lessons for Life” with Benjamin Zander at the Boston Public Library. In the first installment of its 2023-24 cycle, this particular “interpretation class” focused much of its attention on “how to audition”, in what makes for an effective, memorable audition experience.
  • DSQ Honors Quartet Program [September 2022, 2023] · Had the opportunity of studying under the tutelage of the DaPonte String Quartet in an immersive year-long chamber music program combining intensive weekly coachings with performance and networking opportunities, both in the 2022 and 2023 school years. Repertoire studied over the course of the year included Mozart's String Quartet #15, K. 421 and String Quartet #1 by Béla Bartók in the 2022-23 season, as well as String Quartet No. 1 in C minor by Johannes Brahms and Haydn's String Quartet In F Minor, Op. 20 No. 5 the following year.
  • Glenn Jenks Future in Music Prize at Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School [May 2023] · The Glenn Jenks Future in Music Prize, "open to mixed-genre instrumental, vocal or composition students, age 12-25, aims to recognize those who wish to further their studies in the field of music" at Young Stars of Maine, a program pioneered by Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School "recognizing, encouraging, and rewarding young Maine music students who are serious in their study and performance of music."
  • Ensemble Winner, National Young Composers Challenge [April 2023] · "The National Young Composers Challenge (NYCC) is a non-profit charitable organization whose goal is to promote the creation of new orchestral music and the next generation of American composers."
  • First Place Annas-Cup Winner, Bangor Symphony Orchestra Maine High School Concerto Competition [February 2023] · "For over 40 years the Bangor Symphony Orchestra has been encouraging and recognizing the outstanding talents of Maine’s high school instrumentalists, with the first-prize winner for the Annas-Cupp Award will be featured in a concerto performance with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra."
  • Finalist, Category B in NEC Prep's Concerto Competition [May 2022] · "The NEC Prep Concerto Competition, held annually, is open to those of all ages and instruments."
  • 1st Place, Bagaduce Music Lending Library's Young Composers Festival & Competition [April 2020] · "Since 1995, our Young Composers Competition & Festival has provided students in Maine with a way to foster and develop an interest in original music composition and notation. The competition gives participants valuable feedback from professional musicians and provides them with a venue where they can meet other students who share their interest in composing."
