From childhood in UlaanBaatar, Mongolia, Ben has always been a student of music. Starting composition on guitar at 13 he slowly expanded his knowledge and ability to write for other instruments. After an introductory study period under Thomas Wilson of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in his late teenage years, Ben was given the opportunity through his wife to study music formally. Composing in both contemporary art styles and more popular film formats is a reflection of those initial musical inspirations found during the long Mongolian winters.
