  • Maintain a strict professional relationship with all staff in administration and security. Maintain control of the institution by enforcing rules and policy. Supervise inmate activities in housing dorms, dining areas, or any inmate accessible locations. Attends to the medical, visitation, personal property, and recreational needs of the inmates. Inspect and patrol the grounds for contraband, unauthorized personnel, and other security risks. Completes required reports and daily logs. Conducts inmate counts, security rounds, and searches. As a correctional officer I am trained in CPR, and knowledgeable on emergency procedures involving how to respond in case of a medical or security emergency.

  • After my first year I was promoted to bar manager. As Bar Supervisor it is my responsibility to ensure smooth operation of the establishment. My responsibilities during business hours are as follows: Delegating roles to employees during key moments and stressful events. Personally address any disputes with disgruntled guests or employees and quickly determine the best course of action. Provide feedback to employees regarding their efforts and performance. Communicate with employees regarding upcoming events and additional tasks necessary for operation during that time. Work side by side with employees throughout the night supporting any workload demands as needed. Totaling business funds after the doors close. Paying employees after closing duties are complete. End of night walk through to ensure the business is adequately secure and prepared for the following day. Supervise individuals working within Kentucky state law referencing bar licensing agreements and alcohol laws. Ensure staff are maintaining the high standard held by the Paddy Wagon Irish Pub with customer care and safety. During situations of customer safety concerns, I have used the least amount of force necessary to control the situation and maintain order within the business. Trained incoming staff members on policy and procedures for the business and maintaining Kentucky state law.
