I am a hard working Freshman student entering the College of Southern Maryland preparing to make my dream of getting into sports media a reality. I am motivated and I believe I would be an asset to your company if given the opportunity.
I am detail orientated soaking up information like a sponge and I work quickly to fix any mistakes I make. My love for journalism began as a Freshman at Patuxent High School in Lusby, Maryland where I enrolled in the Journalism 1 course, I decided to keep up my efforts and remained in the program becoming a 4 year completer at graduation. I wrote many articles for my High School newspaper, named Paw Prints.
My first job was at a beautiful restaurant in Solomons Island as a Busser. I have 4 years of experience working with restaurant teammates, becoming skilled at cleaning and organizing while addressing customer concerns with speed, accuracy and professionalism. I have always been committed to customer satisfaction to resolve complex issues and win customer loyalty. I consider myself to have a teachable, hardworking, punctual, easy going, go get em attitude .
Sports have always been in my life, I started with Flag Football and soccer at the age of 4, progressed into our local youth football program at the age of 5 until aging out at 14. During the pandemic they offered flag football again and I played during my Freshman year. I also found a love for lacrosse participating in the youth league as well as a travel player. I played 2 of the 4 years I attended high school. While I am not physically inclined enough to play them in college I could not imagine a life without them to some degree.
Snowboarding is a sport outside of high school that I found a love for a few years ago and have traveled to places like Virginia and Vermont to conquer some of the tallest peaks.
I do play video games as they are a way to connect with friends and loved ones.
My first car is a 95 ford bronco that is my pride and joy. It was my first big purchase and while I don't know how to do much mechanical work on it my Dad and I am using my Bronco as a learning tool.
