Work History

Senior Reservoir Engineer

Natural Gas Storage Inventory and Deliverability Verification
  • Inventory Verification of 4 depleted natural gas reservoirs used for natural gas storage: Monitor inventory verification by plotting booked inventory versus stabilized reservoir pressure that is corrected for gas compressibility (P/z). Semi annually analyze bottom hole pressure, temperature, and gas analysis data to calculate the theoretical total content in the field. Compare to the total amount of measured gas in the field. Use this difference and trends in the difference to determine if there is an inventory problem, if it is growing and if the field capacity has changed. Write annual company report on findings to explain changes and to recommend any plan of action. Implement plan of action.
  • Deliverability Verification of 4 depleted natural gas reservoirs used for natural gas storage: Build natural gas injection and withdrawal flowrate performance models based on past field gas flowrate versus drawdown data and natural gas processing equipment data to create rate terminal variables and pressure content coefficients. Use variables and coefficients to run macro based planner program. Compare planner data to actual data to evaluate field deliverability performance. Analyze storage well deliverability using hourly EFM data using Flowrate v Differential Squared analysis. Write annual company report on findings to explain changes and to recommend any plan of action. Implement plan of action.
