  • Maintained digital recording system (Synectics), installed new cameras and equipment, and worked to ‘fix’ old work done that dealt with analog equipment, and also worked diligently to document the existing system because such material was either never created, or it was lost/misplaced.
  • There were an unusually large number of cameras in the system that were either not working due to physical issues, or the passwords/configuration specifics were not known.

Accomplishments

    I've been the lead surveillance tech at 3 Las Vegas properties and I've been proficient at all of the separate facets of that job. Server management, camera installs, video archive administration, workstation installation, configuration, system updates, system design, choosing the right equipment for system expansion, system user management, access control management. My love of surveillance systems and the complex duties involved with being a surveillance technician are directly related.

PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

I pride myself on keeping up with emerging technologies while remaining well-versed on the industry current equipment. I believe this particular position is very diversified and multi-faceted when it comes to the varied skills needed to successfully navigate a normal work schedule. I am just as comfortable crawling through a ceiling and installing conduit and cameras as I am logging into a multi-layer network switch and configuring it to work optimally with the other equipment I installed. I thrive in this role and I was lucky enough at one point in my life to find that out.
