Beowulf

My goal is to protect as many people as I can against evil creatures. I find pleasure fighting battles against evil, and I am well-known for my victories. I would like to be the lead warrior that anyone can call when in danger. I know my purpose on this earth is to be a warrior, and I am confident in my abilities to continue winning the battles I face.

Defeated Grendel

• I traveled far from home when I heard the news of this terror-monger. Grendel did not use any weapons, so I did not. I killed Grendel by ripping off his arm with my bare hands.

Defeated Grendel's Mother

• Grendel's mother was seeking revenge for her son's defeat. I received a sword named Hrunting, which I brought to battle. The sword broke, so I used one of her ancient swords to slice through her neck, causing her to fall dead to the floor.

Defeated the Dragon

• Years after I conquered Grendel and his mother, I became King of the Geats and had to battle a dragon. My warriors left my side in fright, but one named Wiglaf helped me finish the battle. I was fatally wounded from the dragon's bite, but I used my sword, Naegling, to cut into the dragon. I also used a knife after my sword did not work. Eventually, Wiglaf and I defeated the dragon through perseverance and bravery.
