It's been a incredible journey. My dad was an awesome  singer. He had been on

professional recordings long before I was conceived. I remember quartet group practicing in the living room our very modest 2 bedroom house and on Sunday morning gospel radio, they performed on live broadcast.

It was 1968, when I thought I'd sign up for middle school band. My oldest sister played saxophone. But there was no budget to buy an instrument, so I had two choices. Tuba or clarinet. I chose the tuba, all brass sousaphone. It practically swallowed me, being small in statue. but not weak or shot winded. I soon became first chair and section leader.

Dad's quartet thought I possible become their bass player. On my summer break,

they blessed me with an electric bass guitar. Just in the Beatles. Almost a year later they bless me with an electric guitar. Just like Jimmy Hendrix.

I went to college on a band scholarship (tuba) but never stopped learning the guitar.
