Based in Richmond, Va, but my work consist of traveling around the United States to the many Summit Fire and Security Training Labs. My duties include live and virtual classroom training sessions to new and existing employees.

All instruction is NFPA, AFSA, and OSHA based material registered and approved through the Department of Labor. Instruction to trainees includes fire alarms, suppression systems, water based fire protection, video systems, security, and access control systems. Evaluating trainee performance consistently, providing constructive feedback and coaching as needed to drive continuous improvement. Promoting OSHA safety-conscious work environments through delivery of safety-focused training modules designed to mitigate workplace hazards effectively. Ongoing collaboration with management helps to identify areas requiring improvement and develop targeted training solutions accordingly.

Installed, serviced, and inspected fire alarm systems in commercial, government, and industrial plant locations. Maintained the Philip Morris industrial sites around Virginia as the Lead Fire Alarm Technician for 3.5 years. Tested and inspected fire sprinkler and suppression systems ensuring proper ongoing coverage to satisfy the NFPA code requirements for our customers. Coordinated with other trades to repair and keep large fire protection systems working properly.

Managed the business operations for the Virginia/Maryland/North Carolina/West Virginia/District of Columbia territories.

Reviewed financial reports, identified cost trends, and adjusted operational strategies accordingly.

Supervised operations staff and kept employees compliant with company policies and procedures.

Increased profit by streamlining operations.

Field operations included seeing projects through from the bidding stage to the final completion. Work consisted of low voltage integration for fire alarm, security systems, access control, closed circuit television, nurse call, and telephone systems.

Customers consisted of commercial, government, and residential accounts.

Operated as a remote location in Richmond, Va conducting all aspects of business management for the North Eastern branch.

Designed, engineered, installed, and serviced interactive audio visual security, burglar alarm, and fire alarm systems for commercial and government sanctioned properties along the east coast of the United States. Extensive travel from state to state was required to perform job duties. Specialized in low voltage integration.

Coordinated service distribution for the Richmond, Va branch. Area of coverage was a 2 hour radius of the main office. Belonged to a 24 hour on-call emergency team of technicians.

Performed service for satellite, radar / sonar detecting, closed circuit television, telecommunications, pro audio sound and elaborate security systems.

Clientele include state, federal, and commercial properties.

Began as a low voltage apprentice, completed field training working up to a service technician role. Duties included installation and service of pro audio, telephone, intercom, closed circuit television, fire alarm, and security systems in the Eastern Area of Virginia. Locations included schools, museums, businesses, and churches around the area.
