Worked as a Lead Respiratory Therapist at St. Luke's Hospital and was in charge of the 13 RT's on the shift. I also collaborated with the Supervisor and Manager on the most optimal way for the shifts to be ran. I Maintained competency in performing Arterial line placement and Intubations on adult patients. Also, I am a NICU Therapist at Sinai and West Allis Medical Center and have had the opportunity to intubate neonates as well as assign APGAR scores to patients when a Physician is not present at deliveries.

Contacted by American Career College and asked to teach the didactic and lab classes for RCP250, Respiratory Procedures One. This course introduces students to basic respiratory care treatments and support modalities. Responsible for creating power points, quizzes and tests to guide students. RCP250 is a ten week course. Also, taught the corresponding lab class, relating to RCP250, helping close the gap between the classroom and clinicals. Responsible for setting up life-like mannequins for students practice and assessments, as well as different respiratory modalities.

Promoted to NICU/PICU Therapist; worked in these specialty units for one year. Also, on the PICU transport team; responsible for transporting critical children. Trained new hires in adult ICU as well as step down units. Assisted with c-sections and suppressed babies in L&D. Performed various respiratory modalities ranging from adult intubation to performing bedside bronchoscopies with an Intensivist.

Worked in the ICU and ER settings. Worked in the step down units as well assisting with patients that are less critical. Also worked in the L&D unit assisting with C-sections and babies who were born with a suppressed respiratory drive. Trained new Respiratory Therapists. Performed ABG's, ran ABG's with RAPIDcomm500 machine, intubated patients, and helped manage the vent and airway. Received a special honor being recognized as employee of the month.
