Bertram Sherman

Born and raised in East Baltimore. Blessed to have parents that instilled in me great morals, get a good education, and work hard. After college, I was employed with Jos. A. Banks where I worked for almost 14 years until their manufacturing was shipped abroad. I went back to school to become a certified CAD operator. After graduation, I worked as a cad operator for an architectural firm and a kitchen and bathroom design company. 2008, I was laid off because work was slow for construction. At that time, my elderly parents needed help. I chose to become their caregiver to pay them back for giving me a good start in life. I lost my Mom in 2017 and my Dad in 2021. As a caregiver, I worked with my friend who owns Arriba Mechanical Co. Inc., when time allowed, to gain experience installing plumbing/ mechanical units to enhance my ability to do MEP drawings. Also during that time, at home, I taught myself to be extremely efficient with computers. I would like to find something to do remotely because of this pandemic.
