Summary

Currently serving as the Interim Executive Director at the EarlyWorks Museums. During my 6-month Interim as Executive Director I’ve secured level funding from the City of Huntsville and the Madison County Commission. While also securing an additional $100,000 for a total of $200,000 for FY25. Additionally, I was also able to bring in $850,000 in mid-year funding from the State of Alabama. Exterior renovations to the outside of the EarlyWorks Children’s Museum are well underway. New sidewalks have been completed and the building has been completely painted and cleaned. New signage and landscaping is underway. Staff promotions and raises have been fully realized and the atmosphere is one of hope, optimism and teamwork.

I’ve spent the last 11.5 years at EarlyWorks as the Director of Marketing and Deputy Director. My responsibilities included marketing, communications, sales, development, special events, and so much more. Prior to joining EarlyWorks I gained extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Communications while serving as Director of Marketing for several organizations: HiWAAY Internet Services, the Huntsville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourism Association, Sevierville, TN Chamber of Commerce, NASCAR Speed Park, and the Lee Greenwood Theater. My professional experience extends into the areas of publicity and communications. I’ve staged press events and visits for a variety of politicians, entertainers, and NASCAR drivers such as Former President George H.W. Bush, Grammy Award Winner Lee Greenwood, Former Senator Fred Thompson, Senator Jack Kemp, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace, Tony Stewart, and Dale Jarrett. I’ve also worked as a producer and reporter for television news companies in Nashville, Montgomery, and Huntsville, which gives me valuable insight into the inner workings of a newsroom and how to leverage coverage. I currently serve as a board member for the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourism Association and Team Alabama. I have also served on the Tennessee Film Commission Board of Directors and the Safe Space Board of Directors. I am a proud graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Communications and Journalism. I’ve also graduated from Leadership Management Academy 5 in Huntsville, as well as Leadership Sevier County in Tennessee.
