24-30 hours per week

• Perform comprehensive new patient intake,
• Recommend and order evidence and guideline based screenings, patient history, physical & pre-op examinations, women’s health and gynecologic examinations, and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines
• Treat and manage both acute and chronic disease
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify an assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
• Review lab, x-ray, and emergency & specialist reports daily
• Provide patient education for ongoing care information, preventive medicine, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions
• Discuss and coordinate with other health professions to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan
• Precept PA Students and act as resource for students interested in Health Professions for shadowing opportunities
• Onboard new PAs and NPs to include EMR training, clinical work flow, policies and procedures, and serve as primary resource/point of contact for clinical questions.

24-36 hours per week

• Responsible for assessing and diagnosing a wide range of conditions, from minor injuries and infections to acute illness
• Perform a variety of procedures such as suturing, I&D, administering injections, while also prescribing medications and providing patient education
• Skills include: triaging patients, managing time effectively and working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to ensure patients receive timely treatment and follow-up care

Full Time (40 hours per week)

• Provide direct healthcare to Midwestern University students in acute care setting
• Review all immunization records and titer results for Midwestern University students
• Order labs, diagnostic studies, consultations & procedures
• Work closely with supervising physician to provide quality care
• Prepare various grant packages and data collection for Dean’s office projects
• Grade standardized patient experiences and SOAP notes for medical students, train standardized patients in preparation for testing days, and work with small groups of students as needed

• Part Time (20-25 hours per week)
• Provide comprehensive care for adult patients, typically managing chronic conditions and diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and create treatment plans for individual patients

• Completed 8 rotations in a variety of clinical clerkships in conjunction with supervising providers including: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Women’s Health, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology
• During each rotation, the necessary elements of taking and performing a history and physical exam were determined and mastered
• Rotation-specific procedures were observed, learned and mastered including: blood draws and IV placement, interpretation of EKGs, first assist in surgery and uncomplicated delivery of full-term infants, newborn care and female exams

• Performed History & Physical Exam, Assessment and Plan on a variety of family practice patients
• Refined charting skills and learned EMR

• Full time (40-50 hours per week)
• Managed forecasting, recovery and spending for several commercial satellite programs
