  • Created a curriculum to teach how to control light first without with available light only and then with commercial lighting. The students learn about the zone system and how to control the values in their camera, then in the studio we begin with working with continuous light to on simple objects that they have parameters to meet. Each week we discuss how photographers use light to create mood, highlight product, create mystery. During studio time we take those ideas and I demonstrate how I would achieve them and then have them do it for the rest of class.

Freelance food photographer

  • Lee Fish is a wholesale fish and direct to consumer company the concept of the shoot was to create content for their customers. Their in-house marketing person had create with a chef recipes and I with my assistant created visual to match the type and origin of the dish. We had a food stylist and chef in the shoot that was photographed on location.
  • Client and I work out the visual concept pre shoot and made sure we had all the prop needed.
  • Directed my assistant in setting up the lighting, backdrops and camera placement.


Coach Art Volunteer

  • Coach Art provides a place for kids who are sick to choose something they want to learn from a professional. I worked with a child who had finished chemo therapy and was teaching him photography. I would show him artist that I thought he may relate to and gave him assignments that fit the needs he was looking for. We worked around his abilities. Sadly he passed away. Being able to have him talk about himself through learning photography I hope gave him some calm.
