I started my career at the U.S. Army Reserve in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, where I went through Basic Training, and then went to my MOS training in San Antonio, Texas.
We were tested at the paramedic level for the National Registry, and then I returned to my home unit in Erie, Pennsylvania.
I took refresher courses throughout my time there, and I retook the National Registry in 2009.
I was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq from August 2006 to October 2007, where I worked directly with a hospital unit there.
