• Taught 1st and 2nd Grade students reading, writing, math, social studies, science, and wellness material, learning strategies, and skills aligned with AACPS requirements and CCSS.
• Helped students develop self-esteem and life skills by fostering healthy conflict resolution, critical thinking, and communication.
• Built positive relationships and consistently communicated with grade level team, parents, and guardians to involve families in educational process and maintain positive support networks.
• Evaluated student learning progress with a variety of formal and informal assessments used to guide differentiated instructional choices.
• Worked with School Counselors, Special Educators, ELD Teachers, Bilingual Facilitators, Reading Specialists, Families and Administrators to develop ELL Action Plans, BIP, AIS, 504, and IEP documents for students to meet their diverse needs in classrooms.
• Collaborated with PTA, School Counselors, Administration, and PBIS Committee members to establish and implement school policies, develop class management strategies, and create effective incentives to enhance school morale, decrease negative behaviors, and increase student engagement.

Collaborated with directors, other camp counselors, and community members to design enriching learning experiences and arrange travel for campers to a variety of indoor and outdoor settings across MD, PA, and VA.
